Stalled Deal Rescue

$1.99 · free with Pro

Drop in your pipeline export and see which deals are slipping, exactly how much is at risk, and the email to send for each one, plus a forecast note for your manager.

For sales reps heading into a pipeline review or forecast call, and managers who want a fast read on a rep's deals.

Upload your open deals from HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or a spreadsheet. A built-in calculator flags every deal that has gone quiet, slipped its close date, has no next step or is stuck in a stage, ranks them, and totals what's at risk to the dollar.

You get short rescue emails for your top three deals, a one-line play for the rest, a list of CRM fixes, and a three-sentence forecast note ready to paste to your manager. It only uses what's in your export and notes, so nothing made up reaches a customer.

Pattern: the top three all stalled right after something was sent or owed (pricing, a sample kit, a price comparison) and none has a next step booked.

Rescue emails

1. Brightline Logistics · $36,000

Play: past due. Ask for the real date and what moved it.

Subject: film contract timing

Kevin,

We had October 15 for a decision, and last I heard the pricing was with your CFO. With your current film contract renewing January 1, what's the new timing?

If it helps, I can join a 10-minute call with your CFO on Tuesday, November 3.

Sam Rivera · Northside Supply Co.

Why it works: names the real blocker (CFO) and the real deadline (Jan 1) without guilt. One question.

2. Bayview Seafood · $41,000

Play: gone quiet, and the ball is in your court. Own it and deliver.

Subject: your sample kit

Omar,

I promised you a sample kit of insulated cases after our September 15 call and didn't send it. That's on me. It can ship [day].

Is the holiday rush still the target, or has your timing moved?

Sam Rivera · Northside Supply Co.

Why it works: owning a miss restarts the conversation faster than pretending it didn't happen. The question checks if the deal is still real.

3. Lakeshore Bakery · $14,000

Play: gone quiet. Give them an easy way out.

Subject: the price comparison

Mina,

I sent the side-by-side against your current supplier in late September. Did it answer your price question, or has this dropped down the list?

Either answer is fine. Just tell me and I'll plan around it.

Sam Rivera · Northside Supply Co.

Why it works: a no-pressure exit gets more replies than another nudge, and a "no" cleans up your forecast.

CRM fixes

  • Brightline Logistics: close date Oct 15 has passed. Change to [new date after Kevin replies]. Add next step: "Email Kevin re: CFO timing, Oct 30".
  • Summit Dairy: close date Oct 20 has passed. Change to [new date after legal review].
  • Bayview Seafood: no next step. Add "Ship sample kit, [day]".
  • Lakeshore Bakery: no next step. Add "Price comparison check-in, Oct 30".

Forecast note for your manager

Weighted pipeline is $123,825 across 10 deals, with $64,625 of that weighted in 6 deals flagged at risk. Most of the risk is deals that went quiet after pricing or samples went out, led by Brightline ($36,000) and Bayview ($41,000). This week I'm getting a new decision date from Brightline before their January 1 renewal, shipping Bayview's overdue sample kit, and fixing two past-due close dates.
